bsurance goes Sao Paulo
For the third time already, the largest event in the field of insurance innovations in Brazil took place on April 25th. Insurtech Brasil once again took place in Sao Paulo this year and has already become a must-see event in the insurtech scene. We announced our participation earlier.
It was again the top-level audience which made the event so special. All major insurance companies such as AXA Brasil, Zurich, Generali, Sompo Seguros, Allianz, Liberty Sguros or Prudential were present to name just a few. Numerous representatives of foreign companies were also present at Insurtech Brasil, such as the Argentine online broker 123seguro.
Brasil’s Insurtech scene
In addition to the well-known stars of the scene, there were also many interesting Brazilian Insurtech start-ups, such as the on-demand Insurtech onsurance, the technology provider ThinkSeg, which recently bought the insurance aggregator bidu, or the online video platform for doctors and health insurers ExperMed.
The Digital Turnaround In Insurance
The main topics were the challenges of the market and how the digital revolution and the use of data, connected devices and generally the IoT will influence the market, sales and products in the insurance industry in Brazil.
The SUSEP (Superintendence of Private Insurance) was also represented. Together with experts from the industry, they discussed the challenges and the new legal regulations.
bsurance On Stage
Our COO Diana Medanova thankfully accepted the invitation of the organizer and shared her expertise in a panel discussion about the future of digital insurance distribution as well as presenting the B2B2C business model of bsurance to the interested audience.
From AI to Telematics
Besides our presentation, the presentations on the subject of AI (Artificial Intelligence), distribution in the claims process, innovation in the life insurance sector and how telematics solutions will change the industry were able to gain the most interest.
It was bsurance’s first appearance outside Europe, but it certainly won’t be the last!
