DIA Munich 2019 – The Ultimate Insurtech Event in Autumn
DIA Munich 2019 – A Review
When The DIA Community announces an event, you usually don’t hesitate to get tickets. The reason: the line “sold out” is usually used sooner rather than later. DIA Munich 2019 once again showed which Insurtech event sets the standard.
From November 20 – 21 it was time again: The founders of the DIA, Roger Peverelli and Reggy de Feniks, once again managed to produce an absolute highlight of this year’s events. Over 1,000 participants from more than 50 countries out of all 6 continents: the DIA has meanwhile developed into a global event that should not be missed.
bsurance was selected for the fourth time consecutively
If you are personally chosen as a start-up to present your company either on stage or with a stand, this is almost a knightly accolade. bsurance has achieved this feat already for the fourth time, twice on stage, most recently at the DIA Amsterdam at the end of June.
This time at the DIA Munich 2019 we had our own stand on both days, and the crowd was enormous! But bsurance was prepared. Lorenz Graeff, CEO & founder of bsurance, our Managing Director and Chief Insurance Officer Hermann Fried, as well as our CSO, Franz-Xaver Burner were there to represent bsurance.
bsurance makes insurance easy
Interesting discussions on current and future cooperation were once again held with MunichRe, which we were able to win as a strategic partner at the very beginning of our still young company history. Some cooperation scenarios were also discussed with SwissRe.
InsurLab Germany also paid us a visit. After bsurance followed an invitation to their “Summer Club Event” in Düsseldorf earlier this year, it was already the second meeting in 2019 and again very productive.
Intesa San Paolo, one of the largest Italian banks also had their representatives at the DIA Munich and paid us a visit since bancassurance is also a hot topic in Italy. The capabilities of bsurance to embed fully digitalised insurance products into banking apps have already spread word there. Last but not least, our cooperation with the payment provider cashpresso has also aroused great interest at Intesa San Paolo, even though embedding a buyer protection insurance for online purchases was only a small excerpt from our product portfolio.
The possibilities of how to embed insurance are manifold
PI Labs, a provider of end-to-end IoT solutions, was also interested, but this was based on a mutual approach since PI Labs also offers technical solutions for UBI (Usage Based Insurance). Together with the know-how in the field of digital insurance, this is actually a very interesting constellation. Here, too, one can be curious to see what the future will bring.
Very interesting discussions also took place with Sanitas. With 835,000 customers, Sanitas Health Insurance is one of the largest health insurance companies in Switzerland. With the possibilities and expertise of bsurance in the areas of digitalising insurance products and also embedding them for example in platforms, the representatives of Sanitas were also very interested in what bsurance has to offer.
DIA Munich 2019 – A success story
The two days of the event in Munich flew by once again. As exciting as the keynotes, presentions and discussions were, the coming days and weeks are just as exciting when we take a look at the exchanged contact data. bsurance congratulates and thanks the organizers headed by Roger Peverelli and Reggy de Feniks for another fantastic event and we look forward to next year’s events!
